the many skills that are unique to this industry. Every detail of the manufacturing is
rigidly monitored right through the process of its construction.
Montague-Gower furniture is supplied in two wood veneers, each with its own
characteristics. Yew wood has a subtle golden glow with an unique figuring in the grain.
Produced in 3 standard finishes Mellow Yew, Antique Yew and Faded Yew. Mahogany
features flame and curl patterns within its deep rich colour. Available in 4 finishes -
Hepplewhite Mahogany, Regency Mahogany, Sheraton Mahogany and Antique
Mahogany. These coloured finishes have been exclusively devised to enhance the natural
beauty of the wood and to produce a superb patina. The selection of the materials is also
most important and only mature seasoned timbers of good configuration are chosen. All
the wood is from managed and renewable sources.
Many cabinets have crossbanding with ebony and sycamore stringing or have inlays
(some in precious woods). Other items have leather tops embossed with gold leaf tooling
all applied by hand in a choice of antiqued colours - maroon, tan, green, red, blue and
brown. The glass doors of our bookcases and display cabinets are puttied in by hand.
There is a range of different wood glazing bar patterns. The colouring and polishing of
which there are over twelve separate processes are all hand worked and only after the
final hand waxing will we be satisfied that the finish has reached our exacting standards.
We ensure every order leaves our factory in perfect condition after a rigorous quality
control inspection.
Montague-Gower also offers a range of optional extras - for example - polished solid

Montague Gower Furniture är en kollektion
bestående av möbler som återspeglar de finaste
epokerna inom klassisk engelsk möbeldesign;
Chippendale, Hepplewhite och Sheraton.
Möblerna från Montague Gower utförs och
levereras i två olika slags möbelfanér med speci-
fika och särpräglade egenskaper. Trä från idegra-
nen har en finstämd gyllene glans med unik
ådring i träet. Vi tillverkar möbler av detta träs-
lag i tre olika standardutföranden, Mellow, antik
och tonad. Mahogny förekommer både som
flammigt och vågigt mönster i en färgskala som
är typiskt djup och rik för detta ädelträslag.
Möblerna kan fås i fyra utföranden –
Hepplewhite Mahogny, Regency Mahogny,
Sheraton Mahogny och Antik Mahogny. Samtliga
fyra färgvarianter har tagits fram exklusivt för att
lyfta fram träets naturliga skönhet och för att
skapa en underbar lyster. Det är mycket viktigt

med förstklassiga egenskaper accepteras för
produktion. Allt trä kommer från odlade och
förnybara källor.
Genom att använda den bästa tekniken från både
traditionellt och modernt möbelhantverk kan vi
upprätthålla en så hög kvalitetsnivå som möjligt.
Våra möbler tillverkas av välutbildade
möbelsnickare, som behärskar de många olika
arbetsmoment som är typiska för vår bransch.
Varje detalj i produktionen kontrolleras noggrant
under hela tillverkningsprocessen.
Många av skåpen har försetts med lister och
detaljer i ebenholts och sykomorlönn eller har
eleganta inläggningar, delvis också i ädla träslag.
Andra möbler har skinndetaljer ciselerade med
gyllene lövdekorationer. Skinnarbetet görs för
hand i ett urval av patinerade färgtoner som
kastanj, mörkbrunt, grönt, rött, blått eller brunt.
Glasrutorna i dörrarna till våra bokhyllor och
vitrinskåp har kittats för hand. Vi kan erbjuda ett
brett urval av olika laserade träytor att välja
mellan .
Lackering och polering utförs i mer än ett dussin
arbetsmoment, som samtliga utförs för hand. Vi
är helt nöjda först då den slutliga handgjorda
vaxningen av ytan är klar och finishen nått den
standard som vi kräver av våra möbler. Vi ser till
att varje beställning lämnar fabriken i perfekt
skick efter en grundlig kvalitetskontroll.
Montague Gower kan också erbjuda ett antal
tillval, till exempel polerade beslag i gedigen
mässing, hyllor och ovansidor i slipat glas,
inbyggd belysning, fondväggar av spegelglas eller
i moaré för skåp och bokhyllor.

des gesamten Anfertigungsprozesses wird jeder
einzelne Herstellungsschritt genauestens
kontrolliert.
Montague Gower-Möbel werden mit zwei
verschiedenen Holzfurnieren geliefert, von
denen jedes seine eigenen speziellen
Eigenschaften besitzt. Eibenholz besitzt einen
dezenten goldenen Glanz und eine einzigartige
Maserung. Es wird in den drei
Standardanfertigungen Mellow eibe, Antique
eibe und Faded eibe hergestellt. Mahagoni
zeichnet sich durch Flammen- und Spiralmuster
in seiner tiefen satten Farbe aus. Es ist in 4
Anfertigungen erhältlich: Hepplewhite-
Mahogoni, Regency-Mahagoni, Sheraton-
Mahagoni und Antikmahagoni. Diese farbigen
Anfertigungen sind exklusiv entworfen worden,
um die natürliche Schönheit des Holzes
hervorzuheben und einen überragenden
Altersglanz zu erzeugen. Die Auswahl der
Materialien hat bei uns ebenfalls höchste
Priorität; nur reifes, abgelagertes Holz mit guter
Struktur kommt zum Einsatz. Das gesamte Holz
stammt aus kontrollierten nachwachsenden
Quellen.
Viele Schränke besitzen Unterfurniere aus
Ebenholz- und Bergahornfasern oder haben
Einlegearbeiten (manche aus Edelhölzern).
Andere Artikel sind mit Oberflächen aus Leder
versehen, welches mit Blattgoldwerkzeug in
Handarbeit in einer Auswahl antiker Farben
geprägt wird - Kastanienbraun, Gelbbraun,
Grün, Rot, Blau und Braun. Die Glastüren
unserer Bücherschränke und Vitrinen werden
mit der Hand eingekittet. Ebenso gibt es eine
Reihe verschiedener Holzlasurmuster. Der
gesamte Färbe- und Polierprozeß, der aus über
zwölf einzelnen Arbeitsgängen besteht, wird in
Handarbeit durchgeführt, und erst nach dem
letzten Handwachsen sind wir davon überzeugt,
daß die Verarbeitung unsere anspruchsvollen
Maßstäbe erfüllt. Durch eine strenge
Qualitätskontrolle sorgen wir dafür, daß jedes
bestellte Möbelstück unserer Werk in perfektem
Zustand verläßt.
Montague Gower bietet auch eine Auswahl
zusätzlicher Sonderausstattung an, beispielsweise
Teile aus poliertem reinen Messing, Glasplatten
für Regalbretter und Tischplatten, indirekte
Beleuchtung, Spiegel und Rückwände aus
Moiréseide für Schränke und Bücherregale.

Les meubles de Montague Gower sont fournis
dans deux types de placage, chacun ayant ses
caractéristiques propres. L’if, qui présente un
subtil reflet doré a un dessin unique dans le
grain. Créé en trois finitions standard : if
mellow, if antique et if faded. L’acajou, une
couleur riche et profonde, offre deux dessins
dans le grain, flamme et boucle. Disponibles en
4 finitions : acajou Hepplewhite, acajou
Regency, acajou Sheraton, et acajou Antique. Ces
finitions ont été mises au point pour souligner la
beauté naturelle du bois, et produire une
superbe patine. La sélection des bois est aussi
extràmement importante, et ne sont choisis que
des bois de bonne configuration. Tous les bois
proviennent de sources renouvelables.
Un grand nombre de nos meubles offrent un
placage extérieur, avec motifs d’ébène ou de
sycamore ou des marqueteries (certaines en bois
précieux). Le dessus d’autres meubles est en cuir,
gaufré à la feuille d’or, travaillé à la main et dans
un choix de couleurs anciennes - bordeaux,
jaune, vert, rouge, bleu et marron. Les portes
vitrées de nos bibliothèques et vitrines sont
mastiquées à la main. Nous offrons une gamme
de différents dessins de croisillons en bois. La
coloration et le polissage comprennent douze
procédés manuels différents, et ce n’est qu’après
le cirage final à la main que nous sommes
satisfaits que la finition est de la grande qualité
que nous exigeons. Aucun meuble ne quitte
notre usine s’il n’est pas parfait, et sans avoir
subi un rigoureux contrìle de la qualité.
Montague Gower offre aussi une gamme

jaune massif, le verre laminé pour étagères ou
dessus de bureau, des systèmes d’éclairage
